Why Singapore? Taxes, taxes, taxes!

lobalization’s effects can be felt everywhere. About Me:
My corporate bio (its written in the 3rd person, appologies in advance):

Mr. Qureshi, a researcher turned entrepreneur, devised a methodology of quantifying human behavior through a process of Six Sigma. He holds a number of patents in the quantification of human behavior. While attending Fordham University (NYC) working towards a BA in Finance, he co-founded NetWala and developed the eCurrency model which was acquired by PSI Net. After working in finance he realized that his passion was research, so he enrolled to study medicine and conducted research in quantifying molecular behavior at City University of New York. His research took him to Stanford University where he partnered with leading researchers to launch HireLabs. His techniques of pairing and matching, have been used in talent identification and at leadership development programs at organizations including Foundation of Young Intellectuals (serving artists in New York), and LeadershipDNA (serving students at Stanford University), he served as Vice Chairman in both organizations. He recently developed the ‘iHR’ and ‘OccupationDNA’ concepts for institutional clients and government agencies that are looking for an integrated human resource solution to better manage their talent. He advises government agencies in labor and talent management in the Middle East and South Asia. Prior to starting HireLabs, he served as Managing Director of ILR, a private equity firm. His strong background in operations and finance has earned him a seat on the board of Medicove, FetchMed, Intelligent Films, and HireLabs. His interests reside in using concepts of Six Sigma in building intelligent systems to predict human behavior.

Career Planning…. New Years Resolutions

For those who read my blog, you'll know I've recently changed jobs, and I've been pretty slack in posting here in the last year.  Some will say "again?" others have been congratulatory, I have to say it has been an interesting experience.  I'm 37 years old and I'm into my 5th professional job (not counting the moss farming, kitchen hand and service station attendant during University and high school).  Being the new boy again, facing those nerves of the unknown, will they like me? will I…

5 Recruitment Career Killers...

I meet with a number of Recruitment Consultants every week who are looking to move on from their current position, or step up to their next opportunity… I probably speak with a further 10, or more on the phone….

And, to be perfectly honest I’m lucky if I meet with one a week who I consider a good, old fashioned ‘A’ Candidate

It’s not to say that these candidates are not fantastic on paper… On paper most of these candidates look great…. On…

If I could turn back time...... or, re-create history....

Conjures up images of Cher and that song - that charted at number 1 in Australia and Norway, number 3 in the United States and number 6 in the United Kingdom.

And that music video set on the USS Missouri with Cher straddling a cannon, and wearing a fishnet body stocking…. But that’s not what I want to talk about…

I was representing a candidate to the market last week.  A candidate that I thought was very strong… You know the type: a walking…
