"Hi Jon, It really depends on the kind of roles that you are recruiting for. In China, print advertising is still the most used recruitment tool. Especially for mass recruitment projects and the lower paid jobs. Also still popular in China is the…"

About Me:
I founded NewChinaCareer.com in 2006 to solve a puzzling gap in China's world of online recruitment and high-end employment. The site is entirely in English, thus its jobseekers must read the language. This makes it attractive to companies seeking to recruit bilingual speakers. While a few of China's major job boards accept English language postings, only NewChinaCareer is English-only.

Today, NewChinaCareer lists hundreds of senior and executive career opportunities within the Greater China region for industry professionals that are bi-lingual (Chinese + English) and the recruiters and employers looking to hire them.

In the past several months two spinoff sites have been launched: Executives.HK, a site devoted to mid- and senior-level jobs in Hong Kong, and; MoneyCareers.com, a site for jobs in the financial markets and banking in China and Asia Pacific. Both are, as you might expect, entirely English language.

I am also a successful Rec2Rec recruiter, helping several top Recruitment and Search firms in Asia to hire top billing recruitment consultants.

Prior to co-founding NewChinaCareer.com I worked for Matthew Hoyle Financial Markets as BD Manager Asia and at NationaleVacaturebank.nl, a Dutch online recruitment start-up.
Areas of interest in recruitment:
online recruitment advertising, online marketing, performance based / affiliate marketing, social media marketing, SEO/ SEM marketing, mobile recruitment, rec2rec, r2r

Hey Doron - will get around to providing a feature for this in 2010. It is often requested! A feature to encourage collaboration and fee splitting between recruiters has also been requested. To get the word out about any career opps (ideally in the recruitment / HR / rec 2.0 areas) any member can go to their profile page and add the opportunity to the Update Status field - this will ensure we all see it listed on the homepage's newsfeed. Alternatively, if a member is looking for a new job they can do the same thing. Also, CRANK IT UP! would be a perfect place to match people with vacancies and projects.

#atcsyd Day 2.. The Awesomeness Returned!

Man what a day.... sorry, it's late I'm writing this, but I just arrived at home. (took a few more days, went back to work, and now finished this)

But back to the start of my day...

Great start... woke up without the sound of crying (I have young children... this is a perfect start of a day!)

Then... awesome breakfast provided by the #atcsyd guys (the…

#ATCSYD OMG... Australian Talent Conference is GO!

If you're reading this and you haven't been able to attend this weeks #atcsyd (the Australasian Talent Conference in Sydney this week) there's a couple of things I'd like to say.  Well, firstly, "sucks to be you" :), secondly, I apologies for the large input on my twitter feed and thirdly, better…

Career Planning…. New Years Resolutions

For those who read my blog, you'll know I've recently changed jobs, and I've been pretty slack in posting here in the last year.  Some will say "again?" others have been congratulatory, I have to say it has been an interesting experience.  I'm 37 years old and I'm into my 5th professional job (not counting the moss farming, kitchen hand and service station attendant during University and high school).  Being the new boy again, facing those nerves of the unknown, will they like me? will I…

TRU Australia - Idea generation on crack

Last Friday, after two days of excellent workshops and presentations at the Australasian Talent Conference's annual Social Media event, I attended the inaugural The Recruiting Unconference (TRU) Australia in Melbourne. I shared a taxi to the TRU venue, the Royal Melbourne Hotel, with the founder and conference dis-organiser of TRU, Bill…
