Hi Richard,

It looks like a great beginning... it might be a good idea to turn this into a case study to inspire some of the other recruiters. Some regular information about what sort of usage you are seeing and how it is constantly helping you achieve the primary objective (recruitment branding or attracting applicants from the fb page or both) would be great!

Cheers
Hi Kunal,

Thanks for the feedback. Thats a great idea - I could start a seperate discussion to keep eveyone up to date.

Cheers,
Richard
Richard,
FB site looks really good, quite removed from what you traditionally expect from a CA firm. We atre in the early stages of getting a FB site set up. I'd be interested to hear how this works for you.
I enjoyed watching this session from today's Social Recruiting Summit in NYC - leading employers in the US talking about their facebook pages etc - also the DownUnder radio show yesterday is well worth listening to
Hi Andrew - its working great so far; for me the measure of success of FB is the level of discussion and conversation that is happening within the fan community. We're trying to commuincate our unique culture by giving students a taste of who we are (ie not just a faceless corporate) - a group of talented individuals who make up a great team.

Thanks for the feedback Andrew - let me know if you have any further specific questions.

Cheers,
Richard
Excellent Richard have featured it today on my Job Blog Accounting page
Thanks for the feedback James and the mention - Cheers, Richard
Love the live-streaming video/facebook chat mashup. Can't wait to see how it goes.
Enjoyed reading your blog post Thomas. We're planning on rolling out further stuff in the coming weeks and months. Will keep those interested with updates leading to the live show. Would be great to see what Rec 2.0 members think of the live-streaming video / facebook approach. We know we are venturing into unchartered territory, but feel this provides an opportunity to engage with students.

Hi Thomas - its great to get feedback from you on this, like Paul I enjoyed reading your blog post... Will keep you up to date as we develop the page further. Cheers, Richard

#atcsyd Day 2.. The Awesomeness Returned!

Man what a day.... sorry, it's late I'm writing this, but I just arrived at home. (took a few more days, went back to work, and now finished this)

But back to the start of my day...

Great start... woke up without the sound of crying (I have young children... this is a perfect start of a day!)

Then... awesome breakfast provided by the #atcsyd guys (the…

#ATCSYD OMG... Australian Talent Conference is GO!

If you're reading this and you haven't been able to attend this weeks #atcsyd (the Australasian Talent Conference in Sydney this week) there's a couple of things I'd like to say.  Well, firstly, "sucks to be you" :), secondly, I apologies for the large input on my twitter feed and thirdly, better…

Career Planning…. New Years Resolutions

For those who read my blog, you'll know I've recently changed jobs, and I've been pretty slack in posting here in the last year.  Some will say "again?" others have been congratulatory, I have to say it has been an interesting experience.  I'm 37 years old and I'm into my 5th professional job (not counting the moss farming, kitchen hand and service station attendant during University and high school).  Being the new boy again, facing those nerves of the unknown, will they like me? will I…

TRU Australia - Idea generation on crack

Last Friday, after two days of excellent workshops and presentations at the Australasian Talent Conference's annual Social Media event, I attended the inaugural The Recruiting Unconference (TRU) Australia in Melbourne. I shared a taxi to the TRU venue, the Royal Melbourne Hotel, with the founder and conference dis-organiser of TRU, Bill…
